Every girl in a typical household grows up with gender stereotypes and is never provided with an opportunity to understand or seek control over their sexuality. The second home that we consider i.e. schools are restricted from having an open conversation as well as don’t allow louder voices addressing sexual health, in general, it is still considered a taboo. As we travel towards more sections of rural parts this taboo significantly increases with accretion in issues that result in risking the lives of young women.

Mentorship culture is new in Nepal, with Aarambha we will be providing a platform for the girls where they can learn about various career aspects along with interpersonal and foundational skills with professionals who have experienced similar issues in their lives. This progress will create an environment where these girls can be vocal about their struggles and issues that are hindering their progress not just academically but also personally as an aid to their personal development.
